Professor of the School of Social Sciences, Tsinghua University and Chair of the Department of Psychology of Tsinghua University. He acts as Director of the Berkeley Center for Advanced Studies in Psychology of Tsinghua University. He is also the Chair of Beijing Society for Positive Psychology and International Positive Psychology Association (IPPA) and the Chinese Director of the International Positive Education Network (IPEN), and serves as Executive Chairman of China International Conference on Positive Psychology (since 2009). He served as the Lifetime Professor of Psychology and East Asian Studies at the University of California, Berkeley, member of the Scientific Leadership Group of the American Psychological Association, and Director of Social Personality Psychology at the University of California, Berkeley.

He teaches Management Psychology, Cultural Psychology, Cross-cultural Communication Psychology, Positive Psychology and Positive Leadership, etc., possessing rich teaching experience. He is a permanent guest professor of a number of business schools in China. He once won the Distinguished Teaching Award presented by Peking University and the University of California, Berkeley. Since 2012, he has won the EMBA Best Teaching Award of School of Economics and Management of Tsinghua University for five consecutive years. In 2014, he won the Best Course Award and the Best Teacher Award for MOOC Course of Tsinghua University.
